If your like me you love a good breakfast on the weekends. This tradition of eating breakfast every weekend morning for me came from my Step Dad John aka Goody his love of food and eating out is something that John and I shared together since i was a toddler. Now as an adult I share this weekend Tradition with my main Squeeze Chea.
So a few years ago me and Chea’s mission was to find a breakfast place that was the best in Dover, NH since we live close to the area. We tried like 6 different breakfast spots that all had great reviews on Yelp Lines out the door to get in some of the breakfast spots and let me tell you they were all Nasty some places I didn’t even finish my meal after taking 2 bites I was so frustrated we just couldn’t find a place.
One morning I was like I wonder if there is a place were the old Jakes used to be next to the Strand in Dover since this is where me and my StepDad used to eat breakfast as a kid. We get there and there was Fat Dog Kitchen with its Bright Gold Door and cute red sign with Dogs Face and completely empty no patrons. We were like well were hungry and were here so lets just go in and eat.
The moment we walked in we were welcomed by the owners Steph and Paul. Paul is the Cook and Steph was waiting the Tables. We sat down in the brightly colored small room with Frame Dogs on the walls and those little whined up kids toys in the middle of the tables. Steph the owner thanked us for coming in and was telling us they had just opened the restaurant she asked us are names and from that day on even years later she still greats us with our names when we enter. To me that is the best you feel like your going to your friends house to eat every weekend. Both Paul and Steph are like this to all there Patrons greats them individually and creates that instant connection with everyone.
The food…. I have only had there breakfast menu they have a standard menu and a Special menu that they change up everyday. I hate eating the same thing all the time so I am always trying there specials. Chea on the other hand eats the same Breakfast every time and anywhere we go 4 eggs, sausage and bacon with no toast or home-fries. The food is super good you can tell Paul puts a lot of thought into his meals and takes into account the things I like in my food Taste, Texture, Fresh Ingredients, & Creativity.

They have been opened a few years now and have become very popular if you do not get there early enough on weekends there ends up being a waiting line but its totally worth it.
